Airstrip
Now you can
reach Copán from major airports
in Honduras and Guatemala in under an hour!
| Tablones Airstrip: located at 9
km from the archaeological park of Copan, and 8 km from
the town of Copan Ruinas. The extension of the airport is
of 1,250 mts and 35 mts of width, with an altitude of
2060 ft snm (above sea level), located at NE a SW from
the grass level; It is administrated by Aeronautica Civil
from Guatemala, the landing of airplanes are done with
visual conditions. Has an area for the parking of airplanes, a landing Terminal, and a Tepic house with all the services for the tourist. |

Tours can arrange charter flights on three types of airplane:
Cessna Caravan (12 persons), Lets (19 persons), and Beechcraft
